IMG_0010I’ve always had a thing for Butterflies.

Maybe it had to do with watching Jennifer Jones and William Holden in ‘Love is a Many Splendored Thing’ when I was a kid. Old movie but a good one so I’m not going to give away spoilers. There is a scene where Jones, who is playing a Eurasian doctor during WWII, explains to Holden that Butterflies are the souls of those who have passed, making their way to the next life.  I’m assuming the movie is what influenced me, since I don’t see butterflies as a symbol of change and transformation as most people do, but as a symbol of love that never ends even in the next life.

IMG_0004Both butterfly focals are made of polymer clay, Both are available in both my Etsy shop and on my Indiemade site.
